Paid parking in the capital not only reached MKAD, but also went beyond it. However, local authorities are reassuring car owners: they will not raise prices for them yet.
The relevant statement was made by the head of the Moscow transport department Maxim Lixutov. The leader of the program "Raising" Sergei Dorenko made a proposal to raise prices for parking. In his opinion, such an innovation would allow to release up to 10-15% of parking spaces, but at present it is almost impossible to find a free place.
“Even if it’s not near a specific place that you need to visit, it’s definitely on the next street. Even if we consider the busy Neglinskaya street, Patriarshiye Prudy, where there is usually high traffic, there are still places. Either on the next street, or in the underground parking, they are there, ”said Maxim Liksutov.
The official explained that the capital deptrans now has information that 15% of parking spaces remain vacant, and 85% are busy. Therefore, the city authorities are not going to raise the tariff for parking to free new places.
The minimum prices for paid parking in Moscow are 40 rubles per hour. In some areas, the cost is several times higher and reaches up to 200 rubles per hour of idle time.
