At the Brussels Motor Show, Ford showed the public the updated Ford Mondeo. They did not see many design changes in it, however, they took technical innovations seriously: the new car received a hybrid power plant in the configuration.
Yes, the Hybrid Mondeo era is now beginning. The power plant has an 187-strong gasoline engine with a capacity of 2 l and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1,4 kW / h. According to the manufacturer, the average fuel consumption in the hybrid version will be only 4,2 l / 100 km. By the way, in addition to the hybrid, Mondeo can be equipped with 150- and 190-strong diesel engines 2.0 EcoBlue or 165-powerful gasoline engine 1.6 EcoBoost. It is noteworthy that diesel engines with a volume of 2 l are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that can adapt to road conditions and driving style.
Regarding the appearance, the car has improved bumpers with updated fog lamp sections and new lights combined with a chrome strip. The new Mondeo uses a different design grille compared to its predecessor. In the Titanium version, it will be presented with chrome horizontal stripes, and in the luxury versions of Vignale - in the form of a special lattice with a checkmark pattern.
