The Daimler concern plant near Solnechnogorsk began to be built last summer. But now the company reports on the start of commissioning works.
According to the calculated data, the full launch of the plant will take place in May next year. At the current time, about 90 percent of all objects have been built - the main power plants and boiler rooms have already been put into operation, and the last stage of equipping the premises is underway in the assembly shops.
It should be noted that in August several E-class experimental Mercedes E-class sedans were installed at the plant for personnel training, namely they would be put on the conveyor in Solnechnogorsk. In turn, they were dismantled literally “to the screw”, so that workers familiarized themselves with all the features of the assembly. The company also announced that many of the plant's specialists are interning at foreign enterprises.
Recall that the construction of the plant takes place in accordance with a special investment contract under the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. The contract is between the Russian government and the investor, who is obliged to invest in the project at least 750 million rubles and create jobs. The Russian side accordingly guarantees stable conditions for doing business and stimulating activity.
It should be noted that apart from retail sales, the plant will pursue one more goal. It will be about state purchases, which are carried out with the participation of cars assembled exclusively in Russia. This means that, in addition to the Mercedes E-class sedans, the plant will assemble the full-size GLE and GLS SUVs and the mid-size GLC crossovers.
