Fuel shortage problem in Siberia and the Far East

Fuel shortage problem in Siberia and the Far East

Many Russians are faced with a really unexpected problem - a sudden shortage of fuel, or even its complete inaccessibility, led everyone to a complete stupor. This problem was caused by a very difficult financial situation in which all independent filling stations in the region found themselves.

It was with such a statement that Izvestia made its statement to its readers. At the same time, they referred to the statement of one of the leaders of the company "Omni", under the leadership of which there are more than 50 oil depots in a number of regions, he is Denis Pisarevsky. The man noted that the problems were mainly caused by the strong rise in wholesale prices for raw materials. For this reason, most of the gas stations have been operating at a loss lately.

The problem of the rapid rise in fuel prices has been worrying the government since 2019. All this time, the authorities have personally intervened in the pricing policy, trying, if possible, to restrain the growth of retail prices with the help of special regulators, for a start - the FAS, for oil production companies.

“Retail chains work at a loss to themselves, but at the same time all losses can be fully reimbursed through wholesale fuel sales, plus using a damper mechanism, which provides for federal payments from the budget,” says Pisarevsky.

“In some regions, independent filling stations are forced to raise prices by 6-8 rubles relative to the prices of vertically integrated oil companies. Such rates. Consumers choose officially integrated companies, while independent gas stations are losing their customers ”- this is what Yevgeny Arkusha, who is the head of the Russian Fuel Union, replied to the previous statement.

As a result of all that is happening in a number of regions, where gas stations were forced to urgently close or significantly reduce their assortment, it became much more difficult for consumers to purchase raw materials for refueling their cars. Thus, the queues at VNIK gas stations are getting longer, even in calm periods, let alone more stressful moments.
