German automaker Mercedes-Benz quickly brought a new generation of A-class to the Russian market. However, with deliveries of all-wheel drive versions of the hatchback, the Germans stayed for almost half a year.
Russian dealers accept orders for a single version with a drive on both axles of the wheels A220 4MATIC. The car is equipped with an 2-liter turbo engine with the power of 190 hp, working in tandem with the 7-stepped robotic transmission. The first "hundred" car is gaining for 6,9 seconds, the maximum speed is 235 km / h.
Naturally, the version of the car with all-wheel drive will cost car owners more: the A220 4MATIC is available only in the two most expensive trim levels. The Progressive version has a leather interior with an infotainment system, virtual instrument cluster and 17-inch wheels. The minimum cost of such a car is 2 rubles. The second Sport equipment differs from the first only in external design and seats with integrated head restraints. Its cost starts from 470 rubles.
The main competitors will be much cheaper. A four-wheel drive "kopeck" BMW in a complete set with a 190-horsepower turbodiesel engine will cost 2 rubles, and for an Audi A300 with a gasoline engine of the same power they ask for 000 rubles.
Will the Mercedes-Benz A220 4MATIC be able to compete with its more affordable competitors - time will tell. The first all-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be available from Russian dealers in September.
