At 2020, the seventh-generation S-Class is slated for launch, but not all modifications will likely receive an updated chassis. It is likely that we will not see a new coupe and convertible.
The Automobilemag portal, referring to its sources, said that in the new generation of the S-Class, Mercedes-Benz is working exclusively on the sedan, after the generation change, the coupe and convertible versions will be eliminated, but this will not happen right away. Perhaps the release will continue after 2020 year. The decision is explained by insufficient demand for these two modifications.
Although there is no official confirmation of this information, the new generation S-Class will be built on the MRA platform - on it in the 2014 year the W205 C-Class body was made.
It is noteworthy that the German flagship will be equipped with a new system that can, using external cameras, scan the road surface and detect irregularities on it, after which the on-board computer will soon change its suspension settings in order to raise the level of comfort.
