Photo spies went in search of a prototype of the long-awaited next-generation Range Rover in southern Europe. Their attempts to catch a "fresh" SUV in the camera lens were not in vain. Pictures of the car in camouflage have already appeared on the network. Little is known about the future high-profile premiere, however, some data is still available.
The vehicle under test is equipped with a pair of hatches, one for charging and the other for refueling. The sticker that adorns the new Range Rover indicates that this is a plug-in hybrid. This is not unexpected news, given that JLR strives to keep up with other manufacturers who are producing more and more trendy, environmentally friendly vehicles. And yet, the company decided not to completely abandon the conventional internal combustion engine. She left the corresponding motor, simply supplementing it with an electric motor. The characteristics of the "heart" of the king of all SUVs remain classified. The only hope for motorists is JLR's decision to keep the popular V8 compressor. The likelihood that such will remain in the new generation is quite high. If the expectations of the expert community and ordinary fans of Range Rover come true, then the new car will be able to produce an impressive 400 "horses" (this is the total power indicator). Will the car be able to cover more than 30 km on a single charge. - a question that remains open. It is possible that it will be so.
As for the Range Rover design, it is difficult to see it in the pictures. We can only say one thing - the manufacturer did not change the silhouette of the SUV. Before us is still the same classic, although it has the elements that were previously equipped with Velar.
According to an anonymous source, the new generation will soon be mass-produced. But this will happen only after testing the car in different climatic zones.
