At a motorcycle event, BMW Motorrad presented a unique concept - a pickup made on the basis of the BMW X7.
It is interesting that the concept was developed by 12 trainees of the German automobile concern under the direct supervision of BMW specialists. The implementation of the project took 10 months. The technical characteristics of the pickup are not much different from the crossover, but there is an obvious difference. The 200 kg pickup weight is lighter than the original car. This was achieved thanks to the use of carbon fiber and composite materials on the lid of the cargo compartment, rear doors and roof.
The length of the cargo compartment when closed is 140 cm. When the rear wing is folded, it will be 200 cm long and large loads, such as the BMW F 850 GS, can be placed in a pickup truck.
