Hongqi, a Chinese auto concern, has unveiled a new modification of the H5 sedan. The basis for its development was the Mazda 6. Previously, the car was produced with a 1,8-liter turbo engine with a power of 178 hp. Now in the assortment of the company there is a 1,5-liter vehicle capable of producing 169 hp.
It is worth noting that the flagship was also slightly changed, its return rate was increased to 197 “horses”. The Chinese decided to start developing a car with a smaller engine in order to reduce the price of their sedans. Those, according to preliminary data, will fall by 10-12%.
In two versions of Hongqi are the motors of the parent giant FAW. It is interesting that in addition to them, the sub-brand produces limousines, which ride the elite of the Middle Kingdom. The company has been doing this since the distant 1958, it reoriented to mass sales only in 2013. She plans to present 21 new products in the next few years, which, according to experts, will have a good effect on sales in the Chinese market.
Returning to the updated car, it is necessary to say a few words about its dashboard. She has become digital. Together with the traditional dials and arrows in the interior, they got rid of the old multimedia installation, it was replaced by a new, large and modern one.
That's all with the "twists"! Hongqi experts did not equip this modification with unique “chips”, which, say, the flagship H9 could boast of. However, the car does not disappoint. To enjoy all its benefits, motorists will have to say goodbye to about 18 dollars.
