The British brand MG, which recently joined the Chinese giant SAIC, is trying to keep up with the leaders of the modern car market. Like them, he follows the latest trends and offers the consumer "big" cars. But this does not mean that the sedans, popular and beloved by millions, are no longer leaving the assembly lines of the company. Proof of this is MG's new brainchild, which is essentially a modified version of the MG 5. This compact car perfectly reflects the brand's new identity. Its design features a hood with a lowered front lip and a slightly lowered radiator grille. Now it is combined with the bumper and its side sections.
Similar changes, according to MG representatives, will soon affect other models produced by the British manufacturer. Looking at the updated MG 5, we can safely say that the masters of their craft did their best. However, the result of their work cannot but be compared with the Hyundai Elantra. The visual similarity from the front is obvious. As for the rear view, here you can draw a parallel with the Kia K900 executive sedan. Nevertheless, MG 5 differs from similar machines. One of the main differences is size. The length of the car is 4675 mm, the height is 1480 mm, and the width is 1842 mm. Such dimensions allowed the new brainchild of the famous brand to come close to the Skoda Octavia and other representatives of the golf class.
Think the MG 5 has no flavor? Despite the fact that many manufacturers of this updated machine can be accused of plagiarism, the new product has its own unique characteristics. Most of them are concentrated in the interior of the MG 5. We are primarily talking about "driver" motives, a modern digital dashboard and a fixed joystick for speed control. Is that not enough for you? For a fee, the driver receives a two-tone interior trim and a sunroof.
